There are many ways to rig your boat and any way is fine as long as it gets the job done. All you need are some flounder gigging lights and a way to mount them to your boat.
I have a 2" PVC pipe strapped to the front of the deck. It has a slot cut in each end for my lights to slide into. There is a pipe cap on each end with a hole in the ends. There is a bungee cord run through the pipe and knotted on each end through the pipe caps. To install the lights just pull the pipe caps out and slide the lights into the slots. Turn the caps loose and the bungee cord will hold the lights in place.
I have seen people use 300W to 500W quartz lights mounted on the front and sides of their boat. I use one when I am coming and going at night so the other boats can see me better. I also raised my bow light so it can be seen over my trolling motor. When flounder gigging I prefer to turn the quartz light off and use my under water lights because there is less glare when the water has ripples.
